1 incredible month ! We decided to stop a little bit to work on a project in the middle of the rain forest, and it was just so interesting ! The project has been thought by Vladi and Julie, one peruvian and one Australian, who wanted to create a community testing the concept of an ressource based economy (no money as a mean of exchange, everything is shared). The idea is in term to be completely sustain (pas d’argent comme moyen d’échange, tout est partagé). L’idée est également d’être à terme totalement suffisant and to reduce the human labour for people to be able to focus on their passion, all of this with the help of advanced technologies developed by the community and of course open source for everyone. The two of them are ex-scientifics, which is obvious in the way they approach their projects, all more interesting than one another. During our month with them Vladi was working on an hydro electrical plant, I was working on the regulation of their chicken’s egg incubator and the wireless sending of the data needing to be regulated (temperature,...), megan was working on the development of a house for recycling.There were also a lot of « short term project » like building a kitchen cabinet, building toilets, taking out millions of seeds, putting up a fence to protect the bananas from the chickens. And of course we also had some free time to go bath ourselves in the river, to write the blog, read, do compilations of our videos, play music, cook, talk for hours about philosophical topics (those conversations were starting very easily with them), watch documentaries... Well basically all the things we never have time for usually (except the talking part).
