2 Days – Horse trekking around Khovsgol lake

After our week on the farm we were really looking forwards to our 2-day horse trek planned around the Khovsgol lake area. As planned we met up again with Stefane and Jean-Baptiste. To our relief and shared amusement they had also been challenged by the Mongolian ways! It felt so nice to be able to share a cup of milk tea and talk in French rather than having to mime, smile and nod – something the four of us had become quite accustomed to this past week!!
Our 2 days’ trek felt like a mini-vacation. As we sat on our horses going through the beautiful landscapes around the lake we were slowly relaxing and unwinding from our past week, or at least our minds were…the same couldn’t necessarily be said for our butts!
